Michael M. - I think you are on the right forum with your Series II 682. I presume it was built pre-1981 as was my 782.

Roy,
Now that you mention it, it was built in May 1980.

Michael - one of the reasons I thought your 682 was pre-June '81 is the IH emblem on the front grill. I thought that was eliminated when CCC was formed. I could be wrong though.

Plow day is a go for Central IL. its in the plow day announcement it is aug. 9th

Air cleaner sticker/decal..... does anyone know where to get one of these? I've gotten a set of decals for my tractors in the past/and one currently but never had this decal. thanks for any help. And does anyone know the starting and ending serial number on the 169--information seems to vary

Hey guys.I have a question about mower decks.Last year I bought a 1200 with a big deck on it.It measures 52 1/2 across the body.In June I bought a 1000 and it measures 44 1/2 across the body.Is this the correct way to measure a deck and are they the correct ones for these tractors?.Thanks for any help.K.W.

Keith W:

Deck sizes are determined by their "cutting width". ie: 44" or 50".
