I am glad to be a part of this forum. Posting is not my thing, but I read every day and absorb a lot of information from you guys.
Ran into a problem working on my 42 square end deck tonight and am not sure what to do.These spindles are not the ST-745 type, but the rebuildable type with the bearings and cone races. So here goes, in removing the spindle bolts that hold the cast housing to the deck, the bolts are tapered on the top to be flush with the top so the pulley does not touch them. What happened is the bolts turned in the housing due to lots of rust on them and rounded out the square hole in the spindle. Am I up a creek without a paddle? I can't seem to find the part number for the bolts on the parts lookup. I also looked on the sponsor sites and I can't find where they sell the bolts either.
What do you guys do to get the spindles off the deck? I cut the bolts off, so I am in need of some new ones.
