Testing 1 2 3.
Ok, I hope I am at the right place. I got chased from the lawn tractor thread because I own a 122 "Garden" tractor. I had no idea.
I bought this K-301 powered 122 from a friend who needed the money. Now, I am getting buried up to my ears in information and it's addicting. I am starting to like it.
So, I went to New York all the way from Lancaster, PA. to buy a snowthrower for this money pit. (can I say "Money Pit"?)
The problem is, this tractor runs better than anything I have ever driven to cut grass! It was sitting in a field buried in weeds, as well as being a home for a small garter snake. It is rusty, and the seat is rotten, as are the tires (dry rot, but still holding air). It started right up, and ran so smooth, I couldn't believe it.
Then, I found this wonderful forum, (all except for the lawn tractor thread.)
So now in addition to collecting and repairing old guitar amplifiers, I now have inherited a new toy to fix.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
Still here?
Ok, I need a new seat, tires, a manual for the snowthrower, and I should rebuild the whole tractor as well as restore it. But right now I am having too much fun riding it! I will research here and then I will accumulate parts and information over the summer, and before the snow, I plan to tear it down and rebuild it. Then, next spring, I will tear it down again and paint it. Or maybe, I'll just keep playing with it and never do anything.
Thanks for reading.
