Hi to all who helped. Have now realized that the early K321's that have the dip stick on top can't use balance gears in them unless you plug the top hole and insert a dip stick plate kit on side of engine
I'm getting a dip stick side plate kit within a couple of days and will try it. No reason it should not work. I'm going to use a cut off dip stick to insert in the top and use that tube to fill oil as needed.
Again THANKS for all you advice.
Jerry G

Charlie - I knew I saw it on your listing but I sure couldn't find it again. Are you sure it's still there? I must'a tried finding it on 3 different pages.

Jerry G - you mentioned a "dip stick side plate kit". I've never heard of one but if it goes on the side of the block where the starter mounts that is what I was suggesting as a solution. However, you still need a hole in the side of the block so it's still not a simple fix.

And the threaded holes to mount the pto...

Charlie ,

good to see your restocking the store.

Harry: Half way down on the Fuel and Tune-Up page.

HARRY - The K321 I put in my 72 came from a 147, and it had a cored or "Cast in" hole on the frt right side corner of the block for the Q/L dipstick.

Jerry's modification should be a snap.

Would anyone here by chance a a photo of the driveshaft connected in a 104? Need to put one in, but would like to see it put together before I attempt it. Let me know. Thanks in advance.

Frank C - gol'dang it. You're right. Must have been a bug in my puter last nite when I was looking.

Charlie - glad to see you have them.

Dennis - that's great to know. Sure hope Jerry has the same knockout.

Hydro. the rest of the crawler is a lighter shade, Caterpillar yellow, I thought that was the color I had when I rattle canned the loader, but it was closer to cub cadet yellow, so I just went with that. I did see where a guy had mounted a slant nose grill and hood on his, looked pretty cool, and is a quick way to make a cub cadet crawler.

I hope I don't offend the fashion police too bad... but my 10 year old daughter thinks it's perfect! The seat, hood and bumper were donated by Terry Davis.

John,
Look fine to me. Also looks like your daughter has help putting it together. Is the helper on the seat the foreman? And the other helper in charge of food dropping removal? Jim

John, looks good from here and I like the push bar...

The narrow 3 ribs arrived today for it. as far as helpers - more like watchers or get in the wayers lol

John I think it is great, i hope my daughter will be that interested in my old tractor when she is ten. Even though it's purple she just might get yellow fever.

Will I get in trouble if I post a pic of the other project I painted?
