I tried to out run the little guy today, but I just couldn't shake him.

But he's safe and sound now in his new home.

It's even got the battery hold down under the hood. Plus all the original manuals.

The way I look at it. For what I gave for it, I bought the wheel weights and the rest was free, LOL

I used to work with a guy that was given one about like that by his grampa who was the parts guy at the JD dealer in Lyndon just about the whole time there was a JD dealer in Lyndon. When I see him I always ask about it, He kept it, he has no idea what he's gonna do with it. That one and the 210 my son learned to mow with is the only 2 JD's I'd prolly ever consider owning but never say never.

Charlie I would say If you bought that for the price of wheel weights you got a deal.she came with some extra gear also. I see a Dodge Ram in the one picture,is it a Diesel there tied fast and its a 2001 or older.
On another note, we are not allowed to tow a trailer here with no fenders?

nice tractor even if it is green a yellow , And for that price I know I would drag it home also lol. Good deal there. later Don T

DAVE - That dealer in Lyndon is where Dad's old JD R diesel came from.....That was in about '64. As He referred to it, "The JD Failure!"

CHARLIE - Glad to see You got that deal straightened out! And how long have You had "The Cummins"?

Sweet deal, Charlie. Since you basically needed (bought) the wheel weights and the rest was free Fancy says that he'll give you $100.00 for the rest. That'll give you a one hundred dollar profit.

Angel won't allow us to keep it though. She says we have too many right now.

Denny, 64, Thats when the dealer was right down town. Traffic was not a problem. They moved out to the east end on "old 2", brand new building, and went out of buisness about the early 80's.

Digger,

Nice 110. Glad to see you got an ON TOPIC tractor for the "other" site. I saw your post last night. You sure did get a nice tractor/thrower/mower with those weights. It looks like it hasn't seen much use.

What would that "other site" be? I've got my eye on a 140 and wouldn't mind doing some research. Thanks, Jerry

The motor is a lil Kohler. 110s were belt drive and it is mounted sideways. BTW. Nice tractor Charlie.

Charlie, Now I don't feel too bad, even though the 1600 is pissed.

Okay, figured out which "other site" it is.

Charlie, are those headlights original? I like the personality they give the tractor, but I didn't see any others with that setup. Reminds me of the old AC/Simplicity headlight setup.

They were an option, for that year at least. I don't know much about JD's ya know. And not much more on Cubs!
But I do have the installation manual for the lights that came with the manuals & paper work.

Seems like the early ones had metal hoods but they went to fiberglass pretty quick. This one got a metal hood?

john deere did not put metal hoods on any garden tractor...but they did put fiberglass fenders on the first year or so...that didn't work very well...most of them broke..so then they went to metal fenders...they made this unit from 1961-1967...this one has hydro-lift.
