I have my fingers crossed in hopes that my 3 point will get here in time for plowday, would like to try out my 100-gofast at plowing.

With a set of 50lbs weights on each tire I think it would pull a 10" plow.

Remember, taller tires or higher gears means less torque.

KENtucky

I will never know if it can pull a plow if'n I don't give it a try.
I know it moves right along in 3rd gear wide open throttle.

If anyone (beside Kurt R.) is going to the IA plow day and the IN plow day and has room to transport at tiller from Dekalb, IL back east to OH, PA, or NY please contact Kent Wood (registry forum - lost his password for here). He's up in Canada and needs to find a way to get his new tiller moved east.

TIA

Well, every year the forecast is for rain on the Friday before plowday (and every year Charlie gets worried), and it never rains. Hopefully this year is no different!!!

I see it's now showing a 60% chance of rain for Friday. brrr
oh well, i'm still going!!!!

However this year Charlies shoulder is hurt. He wont be able to do his anti-rain dance like the years past. I haven't actually seen the dance but I heard its a high-bred version of the YMCA dance.

For those JUST SELLING, you MUST be registered to sell, no exceptions.
That way we can judge how much space we're going to need just for sellers.
Most everybody will sell something.

If it doesnt dry up here in central Iowa, I may not get a chance to roll any dirt before PD 13 with my new setup on a belt drive tractor, a 1204. Anyone have any past problems/issues pulling a plow with one of these tractors? Some models include 1000,482,580, 582special, to name a few... otherwise it will be a field test. Thanks everyone in advance... see you folks next weekend!

Jeff,

Last fall at our place we had a 582 Special puke out a tranny drive pulley and put him out of commission.

Thanks Steve. I had a concern about that... I have an extra belt I'll bring along.

Jeff,

Not belt....pulley..... I didn't get any more specifics, but it was a bigger deal than just a new belt.

Steve - That's ok. In an email exchange today between Kraig and I, Kraig said he'd use Jeff's belt to tow him to saftey ;)

Jeff - Are you adding weight to the cub ? If so, add it then go tie it to a tree down at the ground and you'll get about the same experience as pulling a plow. Do you really want to do that with a belt drive ?
