KENtucky, looks like I'm going to have to split up the zip file......

Charlie, I think I can answer that. It stands for Flying Squirrel......... Perhaps KENtucky should edit that decal to read 782Pee.......

KRAIG - What kind of internal carnage did that JD 140 suffer? Nice shot into the sun like that.

Denny, I believe that the 140 (I think it was a 140 chassis) had a diesel stuffed into it. Not sure if the smoke was an oil leak or something more serious. Perhaps Robb K. or one of the other JD guys knows.

Dennis,
He blew a radiator hose.
The only thing that saved the engine from blowing after his trip back from the back of the field was the fact that it was treated with Cermax earlier that morning.
He had no water what so ever in it when he got back to his trailer.

Charlie,

Cerma or not, what the $%^& did he DRIVE it in from THE OTHER END OF THE FIELD for?????...especially running it dry?????

If I had just stuffed a diesel into a custom tractor I sure wouldn't have pulled that stunt.

I'm glad his engine is OK, but after watching it run back in to the pit I wouldn't buy that engine either....

The diesel stuffed in the 140 was from a Thermo King reefer unit...I spied the tag when the hood was up....Now I'm going to be on the lookout for one of those.....
The 982D that John Lang was asking about belongs to Tom Henry of Virginia Illinois.....NICE looking unit.....

Steve - Call Nick at Cerma and ask him about John and a certain BMW.

STEVE - I had that same post typed but deleted it.... I bet He blows a head gasket within 10-20 operating hours. Diesels don't like to get that hot. Hope He didn't just dump water into it....good way to crack a block.
