Will 1862 attachments work in 782?

Yes if you change the steering tower and dash too the 82 series sheet metal will work I'm told

Maybe a dumb question, but are there any IH/MTD models that have metal side panels and hood that will fit an 1862?

It's been done several times, but it is not an easy job. Some have modified the existing Cyclops dash tower to fit the 82 series steel hood. The frame mounting points are there on the Cyclops to bolt the 82 series body panels.

Thanks for the info. I really like my 1862 chassis but I hate the plastic!
