Ok,it was mentioned we should start a pink post so here it is...im really liking the pink idea for when I start on my CC IH 104.

Ive seen a few videos on youtube and a few pictures here with Pink Cubs an I really like the colors. There was a color chart for IH that had 2 pink colors so im guessing those were for the gals.

Ok ,there was a lot of chat on the pink yesterday so here we go....a pink thread ;)

Amy K. Offhand I can't find the chart that I posted of all the colors for IH trucks and I think tractors that I found a couple of years ago. I'll keep looking. Whereas others have painted their Cub Cadets pink and white you may want to go with perhaps a white and silver argent wheel rims. Or even an automotive cream color for the white (Chrysler has a pretty cool color or the 1986 Buick Riviera Pearl white) instead of the standard IH white colors. And there are upholstery shops that will make seats any shade you desire.

I am going with a cream or a light almond which is a shade lighter than cub white.I have some of the thrower painted and im liking the color. I held them next to my tractor and its just a lil lighter but not by much.My bf told me I had to stop buying parts an paint for a week or so

Ive enough to keep me busy though for a few days anyways. Im going to try an get a hold of the old guy that used to own the Cub store in the town I grew up in,I bet he will even have the charts for the paint. Im also going to see if he has a creeper around.

But ,I plan on looking at colors really hard. I wanna go pink but part of me says to go back with cub yellow. My bf said he wouldnt be caught dead on it if I do it in Pink...ha ha ,I wonder why ?

Then again,im the one who mows here anyways so im thinking I should go ahead an go pink for me

Hmmm,I never gave any thought to the seat...I need a new one,or need someone to redo the fiberglass for me before its re-upholstered. The edge where the blue trim goes is breaking on me

Amy, I found the finished shot of the tractor Chris Rolke made for his daughter:

I also learned from the text of the archives that Art Aytay painted a Cub Cadet Model 60 pink (with flowers) for his daughter, but I haven't found a picture yet. I was able to turn up a picture of the female in question at a plow day using the famous pink plow:

I think both gentlemen treasure their daughters even more than they treasure their cubs, I wonder how they're doing now.

Marlin, on Monday, October 18, 2010 - 05:37 pm you posted:

Art A. If it's going to be pink at least make it IH SCOUT CORAL PINK and linked to the following URL: http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?manuf=International%20Harvester&rows=100&sort=gmcode

Finally, I learned that one of the colors originally considered for the IH Cub Cadet was Coral Pink, as well as Tropical Lavender. Moderator Kraig McConahey (sp?) posted some High Resolution shots in the Sandbox a few years ago, Here

If you have that pink paint mixed by an auto paint store, you might want to be sitting down when you ask the price. Somebody posted a picture of a pink/white 129 taken at Cub-Arama a couple years ago and the "Barbie" pink on it was $80 a quart, and paint has gone up since then....

I am refering to that tractor. It belongs to the sponser's granddaughter and has been there several different years.

Paul, Dave Ross commented that it looked like "full on lavender" to him.

Of course, he admitted to being a bit color blind.

Pink colors that International Harvester used included:

Ditzler Cambrian Coral #6

Ditzler Coral Pink #70836

Ditzler Tropical Lavender #50505

Amy K. Your boyfriend reminds me of Angel letting me know that I need to taper off for awhile on tractor related items. Good checks and balance system. Plus if your BF won't drive a pink tractor then that is a great reason for him to find his own Cub Cadet for Plow Day events. Of course with your health being a little frail you may want to consider adding hydraulic lift to your tractor.

I do like Chris R.'s pink Cub Cadet and would only add the silver wheel rim highlights and some other silver argent trim. Then find a good Brinly plow and paint it IH Blue with a black Moldboard and IH Red/White decals.

Jeremiah c. Thank You for finding those links.

I love all these pictures ty guys

I think the pink with white trimmed in black looks best.Although the purple looks good too. I have the cub blue on my hood,I may need to find them in black. I agree maybe do the wheels in silver.

Marlin,IKR ? Im like, well I could go shopping for more clothes or shoes HA HA ...he gave me a funny look. Can you believe he called me a tomboy? I was in the garage yesterday in an old skirt an halter top..he laughed at me. I do know after the tractor is painted im going to add my name on the hood.

A hydraulic lift sounds like a good idea. Ive actually considered getting me one.

Amy K. Have you been able to take any progress pictures of your tractor? A gal in a skirt and halter top working on a Cub Cadet? You're going to need some old blue jeans so you won't get all scratched up. Definintely a tomboy though.

I havent started doing my cub yet. Im working on the snow thrower for now. I havent had a chance to work on it since sat. now. Ive got doctor appointments all week this week an im cleaning house for my Pure Romance party this weekend.Im so ready to get back to finishing it up so I can start on my tractor. It seems fall is coming quickly,it was so cold outside today.

Pure Romance Party???

Is that when you move all the Cub Cadets and implements into the living room for a weekend?

HMmmm.. probably not huh?

Marlin, yesterday wasnt so good for me. I had 4 tests an 3 appointments with specialist. I ended up in the ER at the VA getting 4 liters of fluid. In my illness my body dehydrates and I end up getting fluids

Im feeling much better this am than I did yesterday...im going to relax today an recover

Mike,

HA HA HA ....omg that made me laugh. Yes its when we bring in all the Cub Cadets to the living room an we check out all the new attachments we can use...LOL

Hmmmm, that gives me an Idea...I know how I can get more women to mow the yard with some great seat time on a CC...LOL

Did I just say that ? Ooooppppsss...HA HA

Amy K. If you were to have one of those parties at a Plow Day event then there would definitely be something for the women to do.
