Looks fine and dandy from here, but you may want to take out the key so no one goes and drives it around.

Marty, no lights for now anyway.
Just snagged a new pair of skinny tri ribs and wheels today off C/L though.
I/m thinking some skinny ags for the rear, that is if I can locate some rims for 'em.

Dave - "pick it apart". I'm trying to see what it is you've got sittin on the other side. In your first pic - looking directly thru the grill housing I think I see either a 1x8/9 or a QL unit. Fill us in would ya'.

That's my 1650. It's got big cam issues. Cant get any throw on the points push rod, even w/A new rod.

Picked up a used cam this winter, to bad ya got tear the whole shebang apart tp replace it though.

David S., Oooo, shiny yellow paint!

Grill looks nice, where did you get the material from? Looks like wire lathe .

Made a new pivot bushing from 1" round stock for this one that was missing. The other side was loose and about to fall off so re-welded it as well.

The cross brace will need to be replaced as well as it is partially cracked through on both sides.

Lew, You are correct about the metal lath, I believe. But Ya gotta admit, it's kinda like oil.....
Some is better than none!!
Still in search of a decent correct one.

David,
You can't fool this old mason, but out there somewhere is the old style lathe that is perfect for a grill.

David,
I know no foolin' but you took the time to cut it, and bend it to the correct shape, you even rolled the edges.
It looks fine.

David S. I agree with Lew. Your grille screen looks very nice and much better than a lot I've seen over the years. The 104 I picked up yesterday has a homemade one in it and actually doesn't take away looks. Still I'm like you and like to keep tihngs OEM.

Worked some more on the hood over the weekend.
Got the spot welds drilled out and the cracked cross brace removed.

Next up, making some new braces from 16 ga mat'l

The neighbor came over and helped me secure everything and hold it in place to pinch weld the brace in the hood. That spot welder is HEAVY and a 2 man job to operate!!

Looks a little more like a tractor now!
