2072 Fuel consumption?

I recently purchased a 2072 with the big 60 inch deck. It has the M20 V-twin Kohler moter. I was just wondering what people get for fuel consumption. I have 3 acres to mow and this machine was too cheap to pass up and came with a blower. Thanks in advance

M20 is a horizontally-opposed twin, not a V-twin. They drink gas. The M18s I've had burnt about a gallon an hour; the M20, probably a bit more.

Matt thanks for the info. I was assuming the M20 was a V-twin. I've got some reading to do- thanks.

My 1872 took 7 gallons and 5 hours to mow 6 acres with the Haban 60". I upgraded to a grasshopper with 60" and cut my time to 2.5hrs and less than 5 gallons of fuel. And it had a 25hp vtwin Kohler liquid cooled.

If you want a super, go with a diesel if you are going to mow with it.
