I have a 1960's IH Cub Cadet 72 for sale. I don't know much about it, other than it has been in my family since purchased new in the 1960s. The engine was replaced with a 10?hp Kohler during the same time period (60's/70's). It has a 42 inch mower deck and we have used it every season for the last 20 years to mow our lawn. The seat may need to be replaced as noted in the pictures. We are asking $500 or best offer. If interested, you can contact me (Joe) at [email protected].

Be patient, somebody will see it for sale, send you an email and jump in his pickup and take it home. I'd been watching the local paper want ads for months for a Cub Cadet, ANY Cub Cadet except an Original with the V-belt to the driveshaft. I called the seller of the 72, found out he was only 10-12 miles away and picked it up that night. That was about 1979, I'd borrowed Dad's 70 that I'd mowed with hundreds of times and decided I needed a Cub Cadet of my own. Living in East Moline, Ill I could have bought a 1000 Deere tractors in that time but wouldn't settle for a Deere. The 72 is still going strong.
