Neighbor passed away and he had a 782 which if you knew him I consider it in Good condition. I want to approach his widow about selling it before she puts on auction. Can anyone help?

Pics and more info would be necessary to properly answer your question.. IH built? any implements? paint and decal condition?

Also, a unit with a series I KT17 would be worth less than a unit with the Series 2. Most of the Series I's are long gone. If early CCC built and cast iron rear no more than a grand. If IH built, $1100-$1200. Late CCC with alum rear $800-$900 IMHO..

Is the decal a rectangle or a wedge? The earlier ones had parallel edges. Later ones went to the wider at the rear decal.

The 1982-84 CCC produced yellow and white 782's sold at Cub dealers had the wider decal like you refer to. These are not common to find. A good percentage of 782's were red.
