Richard-
I did the same on my 1650 when the driveshaft decided to take a flight and took all hydro linkages with it. But then I also added a Billet aluminum coupler on the block of the engine and have had no problems since, except for tilling my brothers "rock yard" and busting up the rear end but that is another story, and this is my tiller tractor.

Charlie, I like to see truth in advertising so I corrected a statment in that old Ride-Trac add you posted.)

Trying to contact Travis Schweizer
Does anyone know if Travis is out of the office? I've been trying to reach him unsuccessfully via email since Oct 10th. I bought a pair of rear tires from him on ebay for my CC on Oct 6th and I need to know how much the shipping via UPS will be so I can pay him.
Travis, if you see this and have been trying to reach me by email and they aren't getting through the kindly post a reply here on the forum for the shipping. Thanks.
Ron

My little sister used to do this for fighter jet cockpits at MD some years back.

Hank....are you saying IH had "Crash Test Dummies" for the CC development?? I wonder what thier names are??? Art?, Dunham?

Ken -- those drawings made me think of the sleds where they tow the car into the brick wall. What do you supose the crush zone is like on one of those tractors.

Somewhere in your archives you should have a couple pictures of Original in Dan's workshop that demonstrates the crumple zones

Bryan, yeah I recall the pictures you are referring too. Do you recall an approximate year and month (to narrow my search)?
