Marty, can't Wait to see it all come me together,,,
All,,,
My take is, it's Nearly Impossible to "kill" a 149,,,,
But, setting the s/g belt a lil to tight
produced a Very Loud Harsh squalling vibration noise w/ some horrible terrible very loud grinding noise all mixed in together,,,
Neither pto engage/disengage or rpm cured the 149 death rattle/squal,,,
Loosened belt a bit, and back to the beautiful sound of a single cylinder cast iron Kohler thump, thump, thump, that we all know and Love.
My short term plan is to Never do that again!!!!
Any thoughts or suggestions on a possible Long term solution that does not include curb or roadside would be greatly appreciated,,,,
Thanks,,,
happy
