I was wondering the same, Frank. Well Jason, there are many good parts left on that Quiet line. The serial identification tag should be made note of. I love this series quite a lot! The last of the "true" IH Cub Cadets, and the beginning of the enclosed engine compartment. Even the aluminum upper grill/headlamp housing can be repaired.
On another note, I discovered that the Rust-Oleum Appliance Epoxy 7882 Almond color is a very, very nice choice for painting the front rims on my 125. The paint is not "snow white" as the early garden tractor models were, but just a slight shade darker. The front rims on my 125 were in nice condition, and by that I mean that there were no deep rust pitting, or paint bubbling, nor rust for that matter. The paint was faded, and thin. I took a fine grade scotch brite pad to them, and cleaned with paint thinner and clean rags. I'm very happy with the results! Just painting bits and pieces in need of paint. Also, I squeezed the c-channel back together and now the front axle is factory tight again! I did replace the front axle pivot pin with a pin barley worn. The original pin was worn pretty good, and shinned like chrome. I also added some front rim shims that were missing. I'm now thinking on removing the entire wire harness to go through it all, and wire the correct light switch in.
