Just because you can lay down a "good" set of beads on an old cast iron axle, doesn't mean you "should" weld everything that is broke

Jsson - why did you go and cut a perfectly good lift handle? You could have removed the dash pedestal and used a dremmel tool to grind the weld down/off to remove the handle from that connector bracket.

Well, as good a welder as you are, I suppose you can still grind off the weld, weld the arm back together, and then rework everything. I assume this handle came off the 1250, so when you're done you might discover this handle won't work on your 149 because the hole for the role pin is in the wrong location. But I suppose you could at least remove the knob and use it to replace that cue-ball on your 149 lift handle.

But then again, since your old tag line said you didn't know the cue-ball was not correct - why change it now. If it works just keep on using it. I assume your paws fit better around the ball than they do around that little stick knob.

On the sno-thrower spacers. Those pics Kraig shared are the same ones that I used to create the spacers for mine. And for the same reason, not as extreme as that tractor!, but mine was rubbing on the lower grille and adding the spacers cured that!

As always, THATKS Kraig!

Gol-dern-it Mike - where are the pics of your thrower you promised to post!!!!

Steve B. - Thanks for letting me know the braces don't have to be square to the thrower. I'll put them on as is and not worry about it. That will save me some work. Thanks again!!

Michael, kraig-
Are you sure about the quick attach? I have a friend with a 122 that has quick attach. Bought it from the original owner. Could it have been at the end of the series?????

Reach up in there w/ a dremel and grind weld off,,, Hmmm

I was thinking maybe cut the dash tower in half at the handle penetrations, then just lift the handle out like a crankshaft w/ bearing caps removed

That poor oLe 1250, it was in really bad shape when it followed me home,,,

It sure did help the 149 though!!! Rims, "notched" rubber brake pedal cover, hydro pump, trans, rear end, and "Correct" Lift Handle,,,,

I'm loving the 2-1/2" offset on those 1250 7" wide, now 9" wide rims,,,

Jason - Yup, that ole 1250 was a gold mine for you. But I tried to tell you the lift handle from the 1250 is not the correct handle for your 149. Your 149 handle has a hole for a little roll pin and the 1250 handle doesn't have it. I suppose you could drill the hole if you knew the correct place to drill it. Other than the hole I don't know if there is any difference in the handle (like same length, etc). Let us know what you discover.
