Evening guys, we got about 8" today and i took the 149 out to see how the 54" blade would work in the snow, It was nice being able to angle it and not run over the snow like my 42". I was having a blast till the nail fell out of the hydro handle

. so in the am after the wife gets the car out of the shop i`ll take the tank off and have another go at repairing it correctly and finish plowing the drive. dot hasn`t plowed her yet so there will about knee deep in the am. I thought the 149 might have some trouble with the big blade but she don`t and has a nice sound when pushing a full blade of that snow. Have a great nite,,, later Don T

Leave to cover on!! Getting a new gasket are better than a transmission full of sand. You still need to be very carful when sand blasting a trans!!!

MILLER TIRE sells some of those fronts that look similar to what would have come on a 100 back in the day. Nobody, that I know of, sells a completely "correct" narrow front tire for a narrow frame Cub.

i just got an 36 inch snow blower for my 126 i have never run one just wondering how they work

Steve the snow throwers for a cub are impressive. I blow out a about a dozen places everytime it snows here and couldn't imagine using any thing else to move the stuff. My blowersare all qa-42 series so they are wider, I could imagine a 36 inch wide being a bit narrow in the turns tho. Keep up on maintainance and look out for obstructions, dog leashes (without the dog) make a heck of a mess.

steve i have a qa36 on my 128 i can blow snow 20 to 30 feet and with the wind it just disappears the key is NOT to blow into the wind "burr" also make sure belt is adjusted good and chains are a must , depending on your size wheel weights might be needed.

Steve about the blower i dont what type of surface you have but i picked up a rock once in my gravel drive and broke my roll pin connecting my drive shaft to chain sprocket so i built a set of skis to float the blower on the gravel. also these guys on here are a wealth of info, read the forum often to learn
