Kinda' outta' the loop for a while. Posting from the Estes Park Colorado. Kick ass weather up here. Planning on going to the Sycamore Show(Northern Illinois Steam Power Club) this weekend with the 100 and my McCormick Deering feed grinder and maybe the 234 for some test plowing. Hope to see some of the "Guys" out there!

Are the mounting posts I pointed to on part 16 supposed to be welded, or a removable shaft? If welded, how do you remove and replace the frame without bending or breaking it?

Jason, I believe it's supposed to be a removable rod.

With the subframe on the Cub, Insert the right side then using a crowbar spread the subframe enough to pop in the left side. Turn the wheels full left and using a furniture clamp squeeze the subframe to insert the cotter keys. Been doing this for years now and seems to work for me. JH

Jerry, so that rod is welded in? I just "grabbed" a photo from the archives.
