1950's snappin turtle

Hello all, i got this little snappin turtle and i know pretty much nothing about it. i want to restore it back to as close to original as i can get it,i got it running and driveing, and it even still cuts grass.but know its time for the casmetics. so im hoping you guys know a little more about it then i do. ive searched the web and found some on the self propelled but very little on the riders. so any help would be greatly apperichated thanks,
