    Gravel Driveway Drag

Built a drag to see if it would level the pot holes in the driveway. The plan is to use the box blade diggers to rip the driveway first then drag it smooth.

    Screw drive "crap" show

This guy has a knack for the mickey mouse contraptions. At first I thought the screw drive was a odd but then watched him drag it out of the mud with the oddest back hoe maneuvering. https://youtu.be/FlJE8OheKbo

Volvo racing engine in a tractor

This is a cool video of a high horsepower tractor. If this guy isn't careful he will hurt himself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=9yHl24QynOM#!

    Sprayer rebuild

A couple of years ago I build a sprayer out of a 2 wheel cart, a 18 gallon tank, and a RV water pump. This setup was tough to backup and use. I decided to mount it directly to my mowing cub.

What did you get for Christmas?

I got this for myself. My previous welder is a Licoln 10, it's a 110 volt welder. Works ok but its underpowered. The new one is a 230 volt Hobart 210 with spool gun. The spool gun is used for aluminium welding. Man can this thing lay down a nice bead!!

    My new cub cadet garage.

This is what I have been doing the last couple of months. Building a garage and a patio. The garage is 864 sq ft., that's as big as they let me build. The pavers in the bucket weight 42 lbs a piece. That 462 lbs in the bucket and i still had traction. 3 1/2 tons later and the pavers are down.

    Bolting Onions

Because of this cold weather spell my onions look like they are going to bolt. I read somewhere that you can step on the stalk to prevent bolting. This would break the stalk. Will this work or just kill the onion?

    Wreckreation Nation with Dave Mordal

There is a new show on the Discovery channel where Dave Mordal, a Minnesota native, hosts a show that highlights hobbies. I thought it would be fun to start a thread on their site and mention plow day. Maybe Discovery will show up to the Iowa plow day! Here is a link to the thread...

John Jones, I had 2 cub do the same thing. The connector on the back of the switch had corrosion. I had to pull the switch to clean them up. I know this was the issue because I was able to jump the solenoid and start the tractor. When you jump the solenoid it should click.

I got a new to me cab for the loader. Now I'll be able to use the snow thrower and the loader in the comfort of a cab. I will need to add a bump out for the loader controls. Its still summer so I can even think of working on a cab just yet but maybe in November. So its in the shed for now.

    Just shake your head.

I received this in an email the other day and thought I would share. Its an interesting way to solve a problem. U-haul can make an idiot proof trailer hitch but then comes an even better idiot! Here's a little lesson in how not to do things which seems to totally escape some...

What kind of scraper blade is this??

I have seen a scraper blade used at tractor pulls. Here is a rough picture of what it looks like. I was thinking about building one for smoothing out the driveway. The blades are shown in red. The front blade knocks over the high spots and the back blades fill in the holes. Another...
