1981 782. This is an older restoration I took it down to the bare frame and repainted everything about 5 years ago. It has some scratches from use these days. This is what I put in it when I restored it. New driveshaft and rag joints. 1811 steering gear. The steering linkage has all heim joints...

Also not seen in pic is a post on the top back to stack weights so it can do the work. sorry for the poor pic. I will get it dug out soon. I used it to level out 100...

WANT TO BUY..... Tiller and gearbox to put on my 782. I would prefer a #2 with the 5/8 belt pullies, but would consider a 1A with extensions and do my own conversion. Also am looking for a later 5/8 mule drive for the same 782 Somewhere within 200 miles of eastern Iowa only. Thanks...

    682 Axle Question

generally the cast rears have the coarse splines. However that may vary as I have a 782 with a cast rear end and it came with fine spline axles. If you have a spare rear end out of the tractor it would not be too hard to pull the cover off and check. then you would know for sure.

    82 series front weight bracket

Thank You for all of the compliments. This mini project was fun and easy. Now if I could just find all of the parts to build a Cat 0 plow.

    82 series front weight bracket

The weights I use on the rear are just like the ones on the box blade. I just transfer them back and forth depending how much weight I need on the blade at the time. I have 2 cross braces and a 1" threaded rod in the center of the rear wheels which I can hang whatever weights I want on at...

    82 series front weight bracket

on a semi-related note here is a so so picture of the box blade I am using. I made it from a Brinly 42" rear scraper blade.

    82 series front weight bracket

Here are some pics of the bracket finished except for paint. I built it spcifically for the weights which were from an automotive parts rack. I was originally going to use a rod with pins to keep the weights on. Now I think I will bolt them as they have more swing and wobble than I like...

    82 series front weight bracket

I agree. The second rod adds alot of weight bearing piece of mind. Also the holes in the frame were already there so I figured I might as well use them. I modeled it after a CCC factory weight bracket that I found but did not buy because the price was too high. It had locking pins that...

    82 series front weight bracket

Thought I would post a couple pics of the front weight bracket I am making for my 782. I am going to cut the bottom part of the old Mule drive off after I get the front piece welded on. I've been using my 782 with a box blade and the nose of it gets light enough sometimes that it does not...
