Are 682 axles fine or course splined? I've got a spare 682 hydro and rear and I'm wondering should I save it or try to sell it.

I think it depends whether it is the cast iron rear or the aluminum rear and I can't remember which is which.

generally the cast rears have the coarse splines. However that may vary as I have a 782 with a cast rear end and it came with fine spline axles.

If you have a spare rear end out of the tractor it would not be too hard to pull the cover off and check. then you would know for sure.
