Hello all, just picked up a much needed 6th tractor!! An 1811 with 3 pth but no attachments. One thing missing is the VIN tag, anyone know a way to narrow down the year it may be?

The 1811 was produced from 1986-1989. There might be a date code on the engine to narrow it down if the engine is original to the machine. Also, there was a separate date code decal on the frame just below the riveted on serial number tag. If yours has the "CCC" emblem in the upper grille, then it is a 1986. If there is that black ribbed wiring conduit on the headlight harness, that would narrow it down to 1988-89. I'm thinking yours is a 1986-87 due to the now missing tunnel cover decal. The 1988-89 tractors had a far more durable decal.

Thanks for the info, no ccc emblem or date code decal but it does have the wire loom on the headlight wire harness. I appreciate the reply. Was it a rare option to have the 3 pth on an 1811? Seems like most didn't have it but was more common on an 1812.

The difference between the 1811 and 1812 was that the 1812 had the additional front hydro ports for a power angle push blade. As far as I seen and read, everything else was the same between the two. If the Three Point Hitch was original to the machine, it was a dealer installed option.
