I gotta have the Noise! 2cycle, 4cycle! I think that all started with them Westbend and Mac powered Karts at the track. Buying Gifts for my Grandchild's Birthday. Me and my Lady friend walked out of the clothing store with a guy that had just got off his shift at that store. I pointed out the Decked Out Jeep that was parked next to mine. It was his! He gave us the Visual Grand Tour, Man I was Rev'ed! He got in , Turned the key, No Noise, Drove off. Big Let Down! ELectric, Ugg...!

To the OP. Did you purchase this mower new from a dealer or Home Depot? If it was HD I would take it back and tell them that you want your money back because they won't stand behind their warranty. If it was the dealer then I would get a face to face meeting with the owner. I hope your issue gets resolved.

time to rant.......:banana-guitar:

I have to laugh when I see Cub Cadet trying to get into the commercial market with their equipment. Who in their right mind would buy their garbage with no customer support(just like the OP), dealers not knowing how to work on their equipment and I'm sure parts will be NLA a few years down the road.

I see Scag has a nice little battery powered mower now that only cost only $18,254 MSRP.

I purchased a 40 volt Ryobi battery powered blower from Home Cheapo about 2 years ago. It was and is the biggest they sell. I know that Ryobi targets the recovering drug addicts trying to get back into the work force and their tools are cheap so I didn't expect much. I was correct, I can't even dry my wife's small SUV on 1 battery charge. I will say it is convenient for small quick chores and for my wife and MIL to use but that's it. I'll stick with my 20 year old Red Max EBZ8000 for any chore that takes more than 5 minutes.

While figuring out the cost difference between electrical and gas powered equipment, don't forget to factor in the power consumption cost of charging those babies!
Our regional power company asks the FTC for a rate increase of 6 to 15 percent every 6 months!
Not to mention that many power companies are already requesting for people to cut back on their power usage, because they can't keep up with the demand for power.
What are they going to do when everyone buys an E auto? How are we going to charge them up when the power companies are already saying to cut back? We are already seeing brown outs and black outs in the larger cities.
C'mon Uncle Joe, come up with a solution for this! I already know what his solution will be............raise taxes, that will fix it!!! ;)

Did you get the batteries you were looking for. I had the same problem with my Cub when I bought it at a discount from the retailer. I was able to take the battery apart and charge the cells back up to nominal voltage so that the charger would recognize them again.
