Charlie and I talked about this off line but I will post it here in case anybody is interested.
I don't care for the QL rag joints because if you work your tractor hard like pulling a plow you will find your rag joints rotated like this after a short time.
On my tractors that I work hard I double up the rag joints on both ends, this means I usually have to make my own drive shafts. I have to use one of the QL rag joints on each end to go over the coupler, but then I back that one up with one of the older rag joints from the 1XX series because they have more fabric and resist the warping over time.
The front coupler/rag joint on a modified QL tractor.
The rear coupler/rag joint on a modified QL tractor.
Do what you want but this way has worked good for me.

Just had a guy pick up the snow blade I sold on e-Bay, we have the areator hooked to the back of the 1250..ready to poke some holes in the yard, while my boy is mowing/areating I'm going to work on the 122 some more, and when the mowing is done, we are going to hook the cart to the 1450 and bring up some wood for the bonfire tonight

I know some guys use 30 weight in the rears of gear drives instead of Hytran.

My neighbor told me about a 7 hp. tractor in the newspaper for sale. I called the guy and went to look at it. Got real lucky too, a 1963 cub cadet original with nice fenders and reflectors all in tack.. I am the 3rd owner and you can really tell it.. good shape...He even had all the manuels.. Good cub day here....... Howie

Hi All. I had a little gathering here at my place today and thought with the talk of two bottom garden tractor plows, I'd share some pictures of one a local guy made up using two 10" Brinly plow bottoms.
It does a pretty good job, although in fairly heavy trash it will plug in between the bottoms if you run too fast a ground speed. He was pulling it with a gear drive x82 series with a Mag 20 engine and it is hitched to be an on-land plow, and is setup using an electric lift acuator so that the tractor does not need hyraulics on it.

A while ago, someone posted the proper mix of paint, reducer, and hardner. It worked to perfection, but I have managed to lose it. Does anyone remember the mix? Thanks

Man that's a loaded question cause I think everyone uses a different mix, and sometimes I don't even measure, LOL
5 or 6:1:1 is good for the first coat then I get close to 7 or 8:1:1 for the final coats at around 35 to 40 PSI for a standard gun.
If your unsure of how clean your metal is, it's a good idea to use fisheye remover to stop those nasty little bubbles and craters in the paint.
That's MY story and I'm stickin to it.
