DAVE T. - I''ve looked at those metal-cutting circular saws too....but I think I'd get more use out of a bigger bandsaw...I have a cheap 4" x 6" now I've had for 25+ yrs but the next one will be much bigger!
GLEN C. - We need pic's of those fenders!

Morning, gents.

Does anyone know much about Kohler Command Pro 20hp motors? I just got one in a Pug CATV I bought and was surprised that my KT17 in the 782 seems to run so much smoother and, frankly, uses quite a bit less gas. It is a strong motor (the 20) but the opposed twin seems, well, more better to me.

Kraig - I got a Badlands. Its the articulated 4x4. 2002 model with only 50 hours on it. Great machine - I love it. My kids would sleep in it if I'd let them.

Craig, sweet!

I've wanted one of those since I first saw one several years ago! I believe that Land Pride was selling a version of that called the Gondo, it sure looks like the Badlands! If you look close at your Badland, notice that the front fenders look a bit like reversed Cub Cadet fenders. I had toyed with the idea of making a Cub Cadet based articulated using the Badlands as a model. Problem is I don't have the time, the space, the tools, the money or the skill to pull it off.

Kraig: You'd be amazed at how simple they are but how cleverly designed. This thing has a Ford Escort 4 sp transaxle and Dana Spicer axles. It's bombproof and all the parts are off-the-shelf NADA items. I'll email you offlist with more.

Craig, cool! Please send photos too.

BTW, when I mentioned that the front fenders looked like reversed Cub Cadet fenders, never mind the reversed part that's one of my different projects I have in mind ....

... I should have written: the front fenders on the Badland look like the fenders on a Cub Cadet. BTW, here's a link to the Gondo, manuals, including a parts manual.

Beautiful day yesterday, I was building some small retaining walls and had the 129 workin'. As I was walking down the slope away from it, I looked back and thought "except for the green trailer, IHC coulda used this as a picture for one of their brochures back in the day". Of course, I'm kind of prejudiced towards one style, kind like Kraig. Any way, as slow as it's been on here today, thought I'd share a pic or two..

Cat's almost the right color...

Who would think that a 33 year old tractor, used hard and put away wet, would look so good after all these years?? Where did those designers go???

Allen - mine actually do work, I relined them years ago when I replaced a leaky axle seal, but the pedal lock is a bother (oops - a possible design "flaw" ??? naw) and the rock was closer. I did have the 129 total a 4 foot high forsythia bush a few years ago (pointed downhill with a 4x8 trailer behind it and the mower deck on. Motor was off and hydrostat let loose...( "but really, dear, I just got off it for a minute" ).
