I didn't say those 48" decks were rare (but I guess I did sort of imply it).

There was a goof on this board years ago who said they were "rare", but he's not around anymore. If you know who I'm talking about, then you know what I'm talking about. If you don't know, then it doesn't matter anyway.

I've never really gotten into the higher HP narrow frames (although I seem to be "into" 100's lately, so maybe that's changing) so that's probably why I've never seen one of those decks in person.

That picture is neat. Thanks for posting it...

Well, since you guys are talking about decks, I just got a 50 inch deck and the only tag on it is 501u1111. I did a search but didn't find any info on this deck. It looks like it will fit on my 1250 but I can't look up which blades/belts I need. Can any one shed some light?

Art , can you mow with a Rare 48" in second gear in 12" grass ?

Question for the Masses. I know Steve B and I think Art know the answer.... What's the Pioneer # for the hydraulic couplers that fit the front outlets on a CC? I checked FAQ's, did a search for PIONEER and no joy. I may actually be letting a few moths out of the old wallet and buying something I need My aux. remotes for on the 982!

Brian S: CPE-2 says decks with that 501U1111 is the original 50 inch deck made from 1973-1974. The nearly similar 50A decks, which were made from 1975-1981, are designed to use a different subframe than the deck you have. Get a 1x8/9 sub frame and you probably should be good to go. May be some trial and error on the correct PTO belt though.

Hi guys
To answer Art's question from yesterday, i assume its a pin on deck for a 122/3 it came with a 122. I was going to stick it on a 149 since i plow with the 122. Ive never seen a deck like it before. I thought it was a newer deck until you made that comment. I guess its the right deck for a 122.

Huh, Who would have thought its a rare deck? Maby i'll put it aside for my 123(sad sack of bolts) restoration.
Thanks for the info guys.

Thanks Myron, I'll let you know what I end up with.I think I have some 128 parts.

Brian.

Matt, that deck isn't really all that rare, kind of an inside joke here....
