Dave,

If I'm not mistaken that is just an ordinary grease zerk. You should be able to go to any auto supply house and pick one up.

Glen- If I understand the talk, about those, the screws you took out are like lock nuts for the other three. Look in the holes that you took the first three out of.

have a .pdf file for my 106 but it’s damaged & can not print it. Might anyone out there have either a paper version for sale OR an electric version you may send me at: [email protected]? I need the ins & outs with servicing the steering & rear end thanks so much!

Instead of lubriplate when assembling engines, I use vasoline. Now I know that lubriplate is probably best but vasoline is less messy and when the engine starts the vasoline will melt away just like lubrplate does. So I think it is a fine substitute.

Brian - You reckon the third time will be the charm ?
Email it to me and let me check it out if you don't care to. - slagwelder at aol.com

Glen M,
I was perplexed by this same issue until I checked my repair manual. There are six allen head set screws. There are TWO in each hole. After you take out the first set of three you can reach back in the hole with an allen head wrench and take out the second set of three. It's like double nuts on a bolt you don't want to come loose.

Henri, Brian, Kentucky Ken,
Henri, I havent had any luck locating them at an IH/case or any CC dealers in my area. If you can find me one or more, so I have a spare, I will send you a check/Money order to cover the cost, postage, and your time. Need these as soon as possible to get the mower back going again.
Brian, It's a special 1 inch long bolt that holds the pulley on with a hole drilled through the center to accept a grease fitting and allow the grease to get to the bearings.

Question for you guys doing business on this page!
Do you think those pretty boxes at the top of this page and all the other pages on this forum are just for looks?

There's not one thing that is/was made for a Cub Cadet that one or more of those sponsors doesn't have or can't get!
