It's taken me so dang long to get it this far, (I did start the refurb back in 2004), no telling how long it'll take me to finish it up.

I started from scratch again and came back to look at your post and mine looks close to the one in the pic. I just noticed my cable clamp isn't holding tight enough. It's allowing the throttle cable to move slightly. Thanks guys, Nick

Hey Kraig, I did manage to get a few passes with the plow on though. I'll try to post some pics later, Nick

Okay, I've got a plow ready for the Bliler plow day!!!!!!

Crank and tube was rusted up good. I tried it all and it wasn't coming apart. Okay, it came apart in multiple pieces...

I had some 5/8" rod laying around from when I made a driveshaft for the 100. Had to pick up a 5/8-11 die and after a couple of nights in the garage after the family went to bed I came up with this:

I took the wire wheel to the moldboard yesterday and wiped it down with mineral spirits.

I'll probably bring out 2 Cubs. My 1450 and my 100. I've just got to pull the lift off the 124 and put on the 100 and put these chains on the 100 tires. Anyone ever see these chain connectors before?

Question for the engine experts...I have this KT-17 II jug that another forum member would like to buy from me, but I want to know if this can be smoothed out and be ok, or if it's junk. The chunk is about an inch wide by half an inch deep. There don't appear to be any cracks radiating from it. The damage is at least 1/2" or so below the lowest point that the rings reach.

Thanks for any and all input.

I gave my brother a road trip for his birthday:

He went to our cousin's in NY and brought our (probably) last 123 home for me.

No great deal, $400 and that again for transportation, steering needs repair, but it runs and the hydraulics work.

Matt I'd be concerned about the piston slapping around at the bottom of the bore. Even if the rings don't go down that far the skirt of the piston probably dose and that needs support as well.
