Charlie,

Here's the kicker though, I don't think CC ever used the gear reduction type starter, it's something Kubota came out with after the D600-B but it is a drop in replacement (well, one hole needs to be drilled to clear a terminal post).

I know folks have done it, I just need a place to start...

Matt, here's a link to where there was some discussion on the gear reduction starter. Perhaps one or more of the guys that were discussing it will read your request and post.

Gear Reduction Starter

KEN - Actually, Plowing with turf tires & chains works REALLY well. If conditions are dry turf's even work without chains. I used to plow My Dad's & Sister-in-law's big gardens with My 72 & the 6-12 GY pizza-cutter turf tires. I had about 60-65# of weight per tire and could pull My 10" plow fairly well. At least I didn't have to worry about ha=ving enough traction to break anything!

Plowing out in Iowa is like plowing in the old ladys flower pots!!! Same soil texture, no traction needed.

Speaking from experience. BTDT!

Sorry Charlie,

Truth is, there was not a cub to be found that day on that Pa. hillside.

Is the "one armed bandit" feeling better?

When you going to tell us how you done that?

Just a case of a strong back and a weak mind!
I decided to move a tractor side ways and rather than roll it, I just picked up the rear end and walked it over about 4 feet.
Just a tad to much for my right arm and ripped the bicep muscle from the elbow attaching spot!
Time to get the loader setup, LOL
So we won't taint the site to bad. I'll counter your Deere pic with a GOOD Cub one, with the green one's bringing up the rear, grin.

Thanks Kraig,

I tried to open the profile on Ryan Mull to see if he had an email address listed but the profile was gone...

So close but yet so far...

That's fair Charlie, but I got a question!!

How come the Deere are doing a better plowing job??
