Matt,

I've used both 36" and 42" throwers on 14hp singles and used them hard....keep the belt tight and it will only slip is you "stuff it".

18hp in the 782 EATS with a 42" thrower....

I have a 1450 and recently purchased a IH soft cab, does anyone have some instructions how the brackets mount on tractor, not sure if they are all there. Another question, has anyone changed drive pulley on QA42 blower to a smaller pulley to run faster, pulley on it now is 4.5" let me know your thoughts thanks. Paul

Are you talking about a Windbreaker,

Or a soft side?

Paul there is a tought that never occured to me, I plow snow for a living with a 1250/qa42-a. The pulley swap should give more throwing omph so I can get more done faster. If no one has tried it I'll let you know after the first real snow storm I don't get the blower out for less than 4 inches.

Roland, Colin, Frank,

Thanks for your emails and advice on my 782 electrical problem. With your help I'm confident I know what to do now to get it fixed.

Roy

How small did you go? I gotta have this set up myself. Don't want to seem gready but the faster I can move the stuff the more $$ I can make in a day.
