(I trust this is the right forum for this question):

I have a Cub Cadet Super Garden Tractor, 2084. I broke the spindle/knuckle assembly (part no. 703-1445) and the local dealer is having one shipped to me. But I have looked for parts lists and/or maintenance manuals. Can't find them.

At the moment the "Cub Cadet Parts Lookup" button at the top of each of the forums pages does not work.

Do I need to set some toe-in or toe-out when I re-assemble the steering? I assume that the hydraulic cylinder should be centered in its travel when the wheels are straight ahead.

Ray Morgan. Skip down a few listings and look for '1315 38" deck problem'.
Follow the same instructions, just change model #, you'll be good to go.

Allen,

Thanks for the steer to the MTD site. I had done that and found that they do not have the manual for my model. Under "ordering information, among the Super Garden Tractors, they list these:
Models: 1782D, 1882, 2082, 2182
and that the manual for those is Form No. 772-4166
When I search by model no. (using 2082) and the serial number for my 2084, I get:
"772-4166 is not currently available."

When I click the box above these pages, "Cub Cadet Parts Lookup" it does not work for me, (possibly because I'm using a Macintosh computer) and I get this message:
"EmpartISAPI.MF() -- App could not be found"

I have the owners manual. What I'd like is any maintenance manual, and/or parts diagrams and parts lists.

Roy, the Parts Lookup site is down for some reason, not sure if they are doing system maintenance or what. Hopefully Charlie is looking into it.

OK GOOD, I got the diagrams I need, and confirmed that the steering knuckle I ordered is the right thing.

I've also figured out how to save the diagrams and parts list for future reference on the computer here.

Now: do I need to set some toe-in or -out when I reassemble the steering??

Roy

Sometimes they don't have them all.
That's why we have Binder Books as a Sponsor for the site. They have everything.
