I have a 1972 Cub Cadet 108 with a QA 36 snow blower on it,converted the controlls to electric ( lift & chute rotation) had problems with pulley on blower coming off (1 time) and the snow blower coming off tractor twice when backing up,,,,wound up welding snow blower mounts to side of tractor...now the chute jams up when snow is wet,,,is there any type of spray to keep the snow from sticking?????? Or should i design a way of blowing hot exhaust gases through holes up the snow blower near the chute to melt & help blow the snow out the chute....

Bob, good job on the lift(m.o) There are a huge number of suggestions but wet is the problem..I've read a great deal about pam cooking spray and those who use it say at the top it's cheap,silicon spray works but number 1 seems to be keeping a good paint job in chute..no miracle answers..

Wet snow is tough to move with a single stage blower without blockage. Some things I have done to help. Paint the auger housing and chute with graphite paint. Slip plate is what I used. Make sure the drive belt pulley is in line with the pto. Make sure the drive belt stays tight. The adjusting screw tends to back off on my 42QA. So after adjusting the belt I tighten down the 4 bolts where the gear box slides up or down to keep the belt tight. And run wide open adjusting ground speed to keep a steady amount of snow passing through the blower. I usually stick with the blade as it is much quicker for snow removal than the blower - Unless we get hit with a foot or more of snow or drifting snow. Haven’t had a need for the blower in South Central PA for several years. But I still mount it on the 147 with the soft cab every fall just in case.

Nice! Where did you find the picture explaining the springs on the quick attach bar? I was not able to find an image or explanation so mines (1250) been held up by some wraps of safety wire since I acquired it 5 years ago. Sadly the only “attachment” I have is the mower deck, so it’s not really pertinent I guess but someday I hope to find a plow blade or snowblower. Not a lot of cubs up here in Vermont sadly.
I have a 1650 cub with snow blower &mower deck in Michigan.
 
I painted the chute and most of the inside of the blower and auger with graphite paint, a couple of coats is better with touch ups at the beginning of each season. The best thing was to do the rubber flap mod to the auger. I tried the smaller pulley on the angle drive, and it helped but I reinstalled the stock pulley after the rubber flap mod.

Never used graphite paint so can't comment. My CC102 has the oem mower. For the topside I used IH white and added an epoxy hardener, helps the clippings hose off easily. For the dirty side it's POR 15, gloss black with a hardener in it.
