    Allis Chalmers B/300/400 Series

Jeff, Here is an exploded view from the parts list. Should give you a good idea of it. The blades are not sharpend.

    Allis Chalmers B/300/400 Series

Yes, the big barrel looking thing on the front is a shredder/grinder called a composter. Nice old ads. That bulldozer driver makes the tractor look very small.

A few more pics. This loader would be from around 1972. I feel very fortunate to have acquired this fine piece. Lots of grime on it but note the bag of hardware still taped to the sub frame.

    Allis Chalmers B/300/400 Series

Kraig, they are nearly the same. Your tractor series would have been introduced about the same time as the AC 400. 1972.

This is a hybrid tractor I put together. It is a 1973 400 series frame and hydrostatic transmission with a 1971 300 series dash and steering gear. 1968 B series color, hydro lift, seat and foot rests. 12 HP Kohler K engine.

Charlie, That looks like a 42" AC/Simplicity blade. Judging from the upright lift arm, produced from the early seventy's on up. The older ones have the lift arm angeled back toward the tractor.

    1967 Allis Chalmers B-10

I picked this 10HP. Briggs powered tractor up over the Thanksgiving weekend 09. Here are some pics. of it ready for snow duty. The weights on the the rear lift counter balance the 46" blade. Making an almost effortless lift.

    Ebay alternatives

After reading thru ebays own forums, many other blogs and web sites there seems to be a rapidly growing dissatisfaction among buyers and sellers there. Perhaps the beginning of the end for ebay? Of course there is a long list of sites that would like to take ebays spot at the top! Anyway...

Thanks to Kyle Redlinger for hooking me up with the front axle! Kraig - My son Seth "the boy" hit the corner of the pole barn. Nothing hurt but his pride thankfully.

Geez.. Talk about getting your panties in a wad!

I don't think paying dues to cover the costs is a bad idea and I have paid them the past two years without complaint. Just kind a rubs me the wrong way that the whole thing can be locked down to all 4,424 users in an instant for any reason at all.
