I wonder if my 149 is qualified for EV tax break now.
Testing power steering for operation and leaks before the engine goes in.

That bracket where the cylinder attaches to the footrest supports probably needs to be stronger and/or attached directly to the frame. I'd be concerned about the footrest mounts bending or cracking overtime without some additional reinforcement.

When I did the power steering upgrade on my 1450 and 782, I bought the bracket (circled in red below) from a newer model cub through an auction site. It bolted right on and has worked great. It would be easy to make one that fits your cylinder and it would definitely hold up a lot better. I was surprised at how much torque that steering setup goes through, especially with some weight on the front and when you are in a tight spot, turning back and forth on dry ground. I had to repair the little arm attached to the moving end of the ram once because it tore the metal and broke free.

Here is the one I made for my 149 loader project that I converted to P/S.
Along with the bracket to secure the steering sector, pictured in an early mock up, before paint.
I did away w/the hydraulic lift as this is a dedicated loader rig.
