mower deck problem - on a 108 - deck # 482U-1112 , deck drive belt ( # 473462R4 ) is what the book calls for on the tractor , problem is belt is too short , its new, if i try installing deck # 421U-1116 belt is too short, do i have pulley problems on the decks ???

That belt you have is for the earlier non quick attach tractors like the 100's and 70's
Where did you get your info??

You need either one of these to drive the 48" or 42" deck.
