I just bought this with a 60" deck and it is also my first Cub Cadet. I was wondering what the opinions are with this engine and mower. I think they only used it for maybe 2 model years.
 
Kawasaki engines are very durable and longlasting. Not that familiar with the 2086 itself, if it has the driveshaft then it's good to go.
