FLASHING LCD ICON

I have a new MTD MODEL SLT1550. Only 21 hours on it. There is an icon flashing to the left of the hour indicator. It looks like perhaps an hourglass or an 'X'. There is nothing in the manual that I can find that refers to what this is or what it indicates. Can anyone help?

It's probably just an indicator that the hour meter is operating. many mechanical meters have a "1/10's" dial or a "clicker" to indicate that they are still functioning.

Thanks Steve. I found a Cub Cadet (International) dealer yesterday and then told me the same thing; that it just indicates that the timer is actually working. Jim Lehr
