Anthony:
Ther are actually three frame types after the original.
The narrow frame was the first after the original and as Kraig said, the 147 was a modified narrow frame. Narrow frames actually have three main fender types...None(Round), such as on the 7x series and 100 series, Square fenders such as on the 102, 122, etc. and the one peice fender/storage box as on the 126, 147,wide frame models such as the 108, 109, 128, 129, 149 and 169 etc. These had the engine mounted solid and no side panels. Probably the best of the wide frames as the engine mount does not generally loose up and cause vibrations like the Quiet line's. Then came the Quiet line. These are the ones with side panels such at the 800, 1000, 1200, 1250, 1450 and 1650. Nice tractors but the ISO mount can cause some major problems if it loosens up and wollows out bolt holes and rubs pans etc. Also, the Q/L series like to accumulate debris inside. Finally the X82 series is a super wide frame to accomodate the twin cylinder Kohler KT 17 and other engines in other models. ALso had side panels. Engine was again mounted solid and these with the twin are smooth running tractors.
There are no narrow frames with Hydraulic lift that was not an add on. Some came with the electric lift and some had the 16A added for hydraulic power. Only early wide frames that had hydraulic lift were the 149 and 169. Quiet line had Hydraulic lift on 1250-1650. The newer version of the Kohler K301-321-341 etc engines had the larger flywheel and the wide frame allowd it to fit nicely. Most 1250's did not have it, only a few. Manuals also list an electric lift for some of the wide frames that was inside, but I have never seen one. Check some of the information pages on this site and other related sites and you fill find much more info regarding the various frame configurations. The early narrow frames had a steering linkage that was roll pinned on top that tended to loosen up. Later versions replaced this with a more positive version. Some examples are 102, 122, 125, 126, etc.
