Cub Cadet 782 engine swap

I have purchased a Cub Cadet 782 with Series 1 KT-17 engine. The engine has a cracked block but runs. I am looking at swapping the engine with a Kohler MT-18. Just wondering if it is possible to do this with out a lot of fabricating. Or what other engines will work as a replacement. It is a pretty nice machine with hydraulic lift. Thanks in advance for any help.

Assuming the M18 is a Cub Cadet spec, it will drop in with the addition of a relay to convert the battery ignition function of the ignition switch to magneto ignition. There is a better copy of this image floating around in here...search for "M18 into 782".
