Cub Cadet 2146 Battery Issue

I guess this is where we talk about new models

I have a 2146 ride on whose battery just wont stay charged.

It starts just fine with a new battery but eventually dies while running (has gas) When the battery is checked, it's dead...

Would this be a sign of the stator (ME-191-1456-04) needing to be replaced?
