fmc bowlens model #1660 . where to look up info on my new tractor?it is a well built unit.i require info on thy hydro unit.the fluid that is in the hyd looks like autotransmission fluid. Don`t all hydro trans take the same fluid (hytran)?

Don, I've never had a hydro bolens, but I've had several gear drives. They are overall good, tough machines, you won't be disappointed. Not all hydros take hytran, I know this becasue my Case Garden Tractors use 15W 40 for the hydraulics. Let us know how your new tractor works out.
got most of the problems fixed the 16 kol ran to hot(removed nest in eng shroud)but have a problem with the hydro it moves very fast in rev and slow forward. i think this could be a bad valve but can`t find someone to steer me in the right direction as to the fix. Thanks Don

1660-02 1975 to 1977
Should have a kohler 16 hp and a sundstand model 15 trans.
