Best hydro rear end?

Just wondering which of the cast hydro rear end is the best?
Dont know much about the Cubs but somone told me the 149 rear end was bullet proof.

Jeez, Al, when it comes to the cast rear ends, they're all the same. The best one is the one you're sitting over.

Yep they are all basically identical, except for maybe the brake operation. But from the mid 60's all the way till the aluminum was introduced, they are the same. The manual trans were different internally, but are also interchangeable.

Frank, Nic, true... however, some are ported for hydraulic lift and some are not. One from a 149 would (should) be of the ported variety.
