By the way...

Here's one way to remove those nasty truss head screws after you twist them so hard the welds break out of captured the nuts on the backside.

I suppose now that I have a welder, I probably should weld some new nuts in there...

Sorry Charlie, probably in the wrong spot but this just burns me. Have a GT advertised for sale and got a few responces, one guy has seemed very serious about it. We've chatted back and forth via email several times and I've sent him several very detailted pics of it. All seemed well untill this last email this morning, seems a little odd the way it's written, wish I knew how to post it so ya could see it. I realized his addy is odd too, yahoo.co.uk, huh.....he said cost of shipping will be included in the check. NOT, I can see a #^@$*^ commin. May ship it all wright, to the recycle yard. Gonna stick to deals with forum members only for now on.

Brendan - From my experience I'd say block his future emails. I cast 6 brass handles for a guy in the UK some years back. He asked me 6 times how I wanted the money sent. I told him 6 times to pay with an International Money Order. He finally stopped emailing. I've still got 6 brass handles.

Yep, he's goin on my block list. He made it seem as he was within driving distance to pick it up. The initial email showed what it was in refrance to and where it was advertised so I didn't think to look at his add. and contact after that didn't show his add. so I had to look for it this morning. Goes to show how much time some people put into screwing some one else.

Hi, Thought you guys might like to see yet another way to pull the steering wheel, I used this on my 1450.

I have pullers, but no bearing separator to back up the wheel, so.....
I made this from an 8" piece of hard pine 2 X 4.
It was easy as pie, though if you had no woodworking tools, it might be hard.

I just bored an 1 3/4" hole in the center face of the 2 X 4 ( forstner bit), and then flipped it and drilled 2 - 3/8" holes cross wise. Then I split the block on my bandsaw.

I just bolted it together around the steering column, and put the puller to it.
Since I had previously sprayed some Kroil on the column, it just took tightening the puller just a little bit and it popped right off.I used a 2 jaw puller, but a balancer puller , with long bolts going through the face of the block, would work also.

Here's an oil question that I'm sure has been asked before. I picked up a quart of cub cadet low ash engine oil (SAE 30) p/n 737-3029, is this the right oil for my cub 126 with a kohler K301 12hp engine ? Thanks and don't be too brutal on me.
