Kraig, Matt - thanks for the info and photo - it's just what I needed.

I have a QA42A snow thrower. A buddy said that it will fit wide and narrow frames. Any truth to that? Thank you, Don B.

Paul, yes the QA42A will fit either narrow or a wide frame Cub Cadet.

Are there any tricks to removing/installing the rear fenderpans on wideframe cubs? I took one off my 582 to have it sandblasted for painting, and it was a harderjob than I though it should be. I'm guessing I should have removed the gearshift lever. Don't want to scratch up the new paint on reassembly.

Has anyone installed a spring assist before? Is it going to be a knuckle buster or is it fairly easy?? THanks Dustin

Rob N.-

Remove the side panels and get a helper or two to guide everything back together. You probably won't be able to get the shifter out with the fenders on, or put it in with them on, either.
