TOM- it is a 108, with the original 10 HP Kohler. It has a lot of power for a 10 horse.
FRANK- I'll upload a pic later this evening. It ain't anything special; it has a bracket that goes under the gas tank, where the horn mounts to it. I need to repaint it so it doesn't rust and rot away.
Just got done hauling away some brush and mowed some with it. Awesome little tractor. Talk at ya later.

Ralph K welcome to the forum, I don,t think the tire chains are as rare as the 4 digit serial number that is on your cub

nice find

Billy D welcome also and that is a nice 108 but can you show pictures of the horn set-up, I have never heard of a factory horn on cub cadets

Also can you take a picture of the dealer sticker on that cub and post it for us in the sandbox under the thread labeled "base of operations"?

Got a lift rod fabbed up for my blade the other day.

Charlie was here.

Seems to work OK. Put the tractor up on 1-1/2" boards w/the blade on the floor. Used a 3/8" chain splice w/the holes enlarged to 1/2" for a clevis pin. Cut the splicer in half and welded a length of 5/8" rod between. Probably overkill on the rod but the welding shop was closed and I had the 5/8" on hand.
The 5/8" rod is 16.75" long and the the assly is 28.5" center to center.

Noticed the CC white is almose a dead ringer for the Cool Vanilla on my '07 Dodge Big Horn!

Just a piece of info for anyone that might be having the same problem. People are always helping me maybe this will help someone else.

I noticed my amp gauge stopped working the other day then today all of the sudden my battery was dead. I did some checking and then went to FAQ's. Discovered that my problem should be a ground problem and the regulator should be grounded to the frame so I looked around. There was the little ground wire link across the rubber pads and it was hooked up. Well it looked like it until I touched it. The wire broke at the connector and was just hanging there. Made a new jumper riveted it on and presto! My gauge works and the S/G is putting out 14.5 volts.

Check your little wires!

David I like it, I think I will make one for my blade

I got a recovered original seat for the 125 today and wanted to take it out for pictures, hit the key and nothing. The meter did show a slight discharge. I had it out last weekend and as soon as I hit the key it started. I'm thinking it's a bad safety switch on the brake. Wish I had more time too work on it. Am I headed in the right direction? I thought this happened to someone else recently but can't find it.

Melody: Jeanne's Gracie will act this way. Push all the way down on the c/b, no start. Let up a little and away we go.

Hello again, to those that have inquired, here is a picture of the factory horn. I painted the bracket black (it was the only color i had). I plan to repaint it the right color later. It really is the simplest setup, though. Here is the pic.
