My 3206 has almost no power steering to ... transaxle is full , and deck lift works flawlessly. Steering wheel has like 4-6 inches of play in it ... I have always heard the 3000 series steering sucked.... but steering effort is ridiculous. Any comments welcome of what I should be looking for. Thanks , Pete , Hudson Valley NY
 
Check the steering shaft, bearings, and connections under the dash tower and see if they not seized or damaged. If okay then check the pump.
