Been a while since I have posted anything but need a little help. Will an original snow blade mount to a 72 without major modifications? Thanks!!

I found this little gear box in a bucket of things my father in law gave me. He has no idea what it is for and neither do I. It has no markings of any kind, and it has a grease zirk on the backside. Any ideas?

Thanks Harry! I do have a blade have just always wanted a snowblower. Drug this cub out of the fence a few years ago and finished it this last summer. Couldn't believe it when the old 8hp kohler fired right up after I got it cleaned up.

My boy and I took my grandpas 72 that I brought back to life out for a spin today. If the wife would let me get a snowblower for the tractor, I will be set, Because have had about 15 Inches of the white in the past week!

Thanks for the answer I will just have to try it sometime. If it is underpower it would be a good excuse for me to get a bigger Cub! Have good day everyone! Getting ready to change out compression spring on drive shaft that broke on me the other day.

Will a 72 with a 8hp motor be able run a snow thrower? My plow does good but with all the snow here in Indiana I want to be able to get the snow further from the drive.

Was a little disappointed when I went to the Portland, Indiana Tri State Gas Engine and Tractor Show. Didn't see near as many Cubs this year. Mine would have been if it wasn't for the broken clutch spring. But all in all it was still a great show!

Finally got a decent amount of rain here in central Indiana overnight. May get to do a little mowing with the old 72 this week. Grass already looks a little greener!

Does anybody know if a k181 carb off of a John Deere will work on my 72? Came across a decent used one.

Well after it cooled she fired right up and I didn't see any oil. So it might be ok. While the engine was running I never noticed it getting hot. Just got to keep an eye on it for now I guess.

Left the key turned on, on my 72 and the ignition coil is so hot that I cannot even touch. Normal or issue? Any help would greatly be appreciated! Thanks!

Was Just curious if this muffler is worth anything since I have the original International box? My grandfather got it for his 72 cub back in the early to mid 70's I currently own this same Cub but I put a stack on the tractor. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks Sean

Scott, Thanks for the response! I thought transport yellow looked close. A local mechanic I know told me that Ace hardwares Schoolbus yellow was pretty darn close also. So many choices! Now I just need to pick one!

Has anyone ever used an Aluminum friction disc on a narrow frame before? I know guys use them on pulling tractors, but that's about it.
