Thanks for the NAPA bearing part numbers. At this point, a cheap bearing will work better than distoryed bearing. I will fix the bearings right when the winter dies down and I do my motor mount rebuild.

Bad deal... I lost the screw that holds my front left wheel on to the spindle and lost all the associated parts. It only took me 1 hour to get it out of the pile of snow at the end of a friends driveway and up onto my trailer for a ride back to the garage. I know the semi-local Cub dealer will...

Sorry about the mix-up on the posting location. The origninal question I was posting turned more into a need as I thought about it. Good news/bad news is that the job in question was squashed because of liability issues. They rather make people tromp through snow, rather than clean it up...

Fast Help Needed. I may do some snow plowing this Fri./Sat. with my 1250. I am affraid the turf tire/chain/wheel weight set-up I currently have, will tear up the brick sidewalks that I am going to plow. (My blade is already equipt with a rubber edge.) Can I use bar lug tractor style tires...

Big trouble in little China... I have too busy to put the mower deck on the 1250 until a few days ago. I flip the electric PTO switch and the blades turn normally. I start mowing and about 20ft. I get a belt squeeking sound and the blades slow down or stop turning. Moments later, the...

This is why I need to hang out more here. I need to have someone (a local metal fabricator that I know) craft a new lift rod for my hybrid Cub/Bolens snow plow set-up. I want to make it out of 3/8" x 1.5" flat stock. I was going to draw it out etc., but using cardboard to make a mock up is a...

I didn't really get a answer to my question about aquiring a rubber edge to my push blade, so I just went out and did it. A little phone book time and here is the results. I used 1/2" x 6 x 40" (cut down to 4" tall) rubber conveyer skirting. The guy showed me conveyer material and explained...

Last year, there was a guy selling some sort of suitcase weight bracket for Cubs in the classifieds here. Anyone know who or how to contact this guy?

My Ebay comment was kinda off the cuff. I have in the past and will in the future order from the parts supplies on this site. However, I do and will continue to shop Ebay. I look for good products and fair pricing, where ever that takes me, so be it.

Thanks for the feedback. When I put on my chains, there are two left over links as I call them. I use some wire to keep those from slapping my fenders etc. Tried zip-ties once but they broke in the snow etc. I spent about 6 hours pushing snow Sat. night and Sun. morning and the chains are...

CCote, thanks for the link. I must tell you that this is a tough crowd, and I am usually intimidated. There are guys here that make two seaters or bulldozers out of their Cubs. The guys here talk and treat their Cubs like fine time peices. I am a little more rough than that. However, I try...

Here's a re-post of my message from last night. No one saw it or no one wants to answer it. We will see. Thanks to those intersted in helping. Hello all. It's been a long time since I have posted here. Not much Cub action lately for me, just normal grass mowing. Tried to buy a model 70...

Hello all. It's been a long time since I have posted here. Not much Cub action lately for me, just normal grass mowing. Tried to buy a model 70 this fall strictly for snow plowing, but no luck. I flinched and lost a shot at the deal. Anyway, to the real reason for my post. I just put one...

Hello all. Long time no chat. I just got done plowing some more snow here in the St. Louis area. We got about 3" of snow on top of 1" of sleet. Seems that a good plow blade is the only way to move that sleet. The snow blowers just ride on top of it. I have two questions. 1. The spin gear...

Bad news, my CC 1250 has been kicked out of the garage. My wife can't seem to manuver around it with the blade on and the kids want to play on it and someone's going to fall off and get hurt according to her. So, I am about to move it to the un-heated shed. I have purchase one of those...

At the risk of ridicule and scorn, I am going to ask anyway. What is the size/part number for the mower belt for my 1250 w/ a 44A mower deck? The one I just bought with out the help of the members here came apart after one complete mowing, seems that I bought the worng size. I spent $15.00...

Starter problem fixed!!! I messed around with the starter and a little WD-40 until it busted loose. For some reason it was seized up on the shaft. Thanks to anyone who was going to reply to try and help.

Help! My 1250 has a starter issue. It seems that the starter will turn but will not engage the flywheel. I took it off the 1250 and used a battery to make the starter turn and the starting gear seems to remain at the bottem of the saft. Any history or ideas on this problem.
